On a valuable mission with the FIDO Alliance!
As an open industry association, the FIDO Alliance has made it its mission to reduce the dependence on passwords. To achieve this aim, the association promotes the development, utilization and compliance of standards for a strong and secure authentication.
The FIDO Alliance is pushed by hundreds of global technology leaders of the company, payment, telecommunication, government and healthcare sectors who have joined their forces to support the mission and achievements of the FIDO Alliance’s aims. This is possible by participating in the development of FIDO specifications, by establishing best practices for the use of FIDO-authentication and by promoting the global awareness for this alliance, its mission and the FIDO specification.
Since 1st November 2024, MADA is a member of the FIDO Alliance as well and very proud to take part in this valuable “mission”!
The importance and significance of the FIDO Alliance’s work is particularly reinforced with regard to the European NIS 2 Directive, which aims to minimize the risk for cyber attacks and threats in the EU and to raise the security standards. The implementation of these regulations is a major challenge for many companies.
Our smartMX-cards combine physical and logical/digital access control in one card. The physical access control limits, controls and tracks which people have access to which physical space. Primarily used technologies for this purpose are MIFARE DESFire and LEGIC advant, which are entirely supported.
